Further evidence of Rip off Britain
Further evidence came out yesterday in a survey carried out by What Car? that motorway services are gauging the already hard-pressed motorist.
WH Smith motorway services are charging 91 per cent more at its motorway retail outlets for a bottle of water than on the High Street.
Marks & Spencer are also charging inflated prices, up to 25 per cent more than their High Street outlets. This is unforgivable and a clear example of the average consumer yet again being ripped off by big business.
If David Cameron wants to set up a big society with fairness and equality to all then perhaps he should have a manifesto pledge for the next election that all motorway services will be closed down. Motorists should stop going to these places and plan their journeys to avoid the rip-off to the British motorist.
