What exactly is this?

If you are facing a prosecution for this offence, you will no doubt be interviewed by the police and it is vital you ensure you have correct representation during this interview to guide, advise and support you throughout the police station procedure.

If you go on to be prosecuted or are in the midst of an ongoing prosecution, the authorities will have to show your driving fell far below the standard expected of a careful and competent driver and  would be obvious to that driver that your driving would be dangerous.

 dangerous

It is a very high threshold for the prosecution and therefore extremely important for you to deal with solicitors who know what they are doing in this area of law.

Most cases of Dangerous Driving take place at the Crown Court although some remain at the Magistrates’ Court where the sentencing powers are restricted to a maximum of six months imprisonment; sometimes, you may have the choice of which Court the proceedings will take place in.

If your case proceeds to the Crown Court, the maximum sentence for this offence is two years imprisonments with a disqualification and you will also have to re-take your driving test.

With so much at stake, can you afford not to call us and speak to a solicitor?
