Drunk Driving on a Mobility Scooter

Check out the following link to a recent article in the Daily Mail highlighting the fact that many people believe that the Road Traffic Act does not apply to them with regard to drink driving if they are not actually driving a car.

This able bodied drink driver using a mobility scooter to go to the shops whilst over the limit and without insurance was recently convicted at the Croydon Magistrates’ Court of driving with excess alcohol and disqualified from driving for 17 months.

The article highlights the fact that you cannot get away from the Road Traffic Act by getting on a motorised scooter but also goes to show what a lout Darren Wells really is.  Clearly described in Court as a lazy alcoholic, he should perhaps use his 17 month disqualification to get on his bike and get a job.
