failure to provide driver details

This request normally accompanies a Notice of Intended Prosecution and if you fail to provide details of the driver at the material time, you will receive a minimum of 6 points endorsed on your licence.

If you are a new driver, this means that your licence will be revoked or alternatively, if you have held your licence for longer that two years and have 6 points on your licence already, you can be disqualified.

If you have received one of these through the post, it will normally be accompanied by a Notice of Intended Prosecution.

Before you do anything, please call us!

Your Notice of Intended Prosecution may be defective depending on when it was officially served upon you. This may lead to the prosecuting authority having to discontinue matters at a very early stage of the proceedings.

Early detection of any defects in the document ad how you deal with it may have a significant impact on the outcome of your case.

The important thing is to contact us when you receive it and we can advise you how best to proceed with your case, so why not call us and speak to a solicitor
